Why choose the Fertility North Donor Program?

Our program is overseen by an experienced Donor Coordinator and team who provides ongoing information and support, as well as the planning and organisation of donor appointments, counselling, screening tests and treatments.  Our program is fully accredited at both a state and federal level, offering absolute safety and peace of mind to donors and recipients alike. 

Who can donate to the program?

Our donors must all be at least 18 years and six months old at the time of donation, with the upper age limit capped between 37 and 46 years of age in accordance with the material that is being donated.  You can find specific information regarding this on each of the egg, sperm and embryo pages. 

  

All donors must undertake: 

  • An initial donor counselling session with an accredited Fertility Counsellor
  • A 3 month ‘cooling off’ period (which may or may not coincide with a quarantine period)
  • Comprehensive medical and genetic screening
  • A second counselling session anytime following the completion of the cooling off period

Who can receive donated sperm, eggs or embryos?

Those who wish to undertake treatment with donated eggs, sperm and embryos must be aged between 18 years and six months and 52 years old.  

All recipients must undertake:
